This Is The Rommell's Bunker Page Of Libyan Travels
Having
just visited the painted cell where J Brill of The RASC resisded during WW2 at Al
Birdi we then returned to Tobruk
to look again for Rommel's bunker, which we, mercifully, found with
ease compared to our efforts
the night before It is not very dramatic:
just a derelict, weed infested, rubble strewn, old parking
lot with a few rusting military items: howitzers, tanks and
the like. |

In
the derelict, weed infested, rubble strewn old parking lot next
to it was the rotting rusty hulk of a WW2 American Air force
plane, enormous, four engined, possibly B52 or Flying Fortress.
